Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • A contribuição é original e inédita, e não está sendo avaliada para publicação por outra revista; caso contrário, deve-se justificar em "Comentários ao editor".
  • O arquivo da submissão está em formato Microsoft Word, OpenOffice ou RTF.
  • Onde disponível, os URLs para as referências foram fornecidos.
  • O texto está em espaço simples; usa uma fonte de 12-pontos; emprega itálico em vez de sublinhado (exceto em endereços URL); as figuras e tabelas estão inseridas no texto, não no final do documento na forma de anexos.
  • O texto segue os padrões de estilo e requisitos bibliográficos descritos em Diretrizes para Autores, na página Sobre a Revista.

Author Guidelines

Dear Author,

Please read all the points in these guidelines carefully before beginning your submission. Failure to comply with any of the items listed below—whether in the submitted document and/or the submission form—will result in the rejection of your submission.

Article proposals originally written in the following languages will be accepted: (i) Portuguese, (ii) Spanish, (iii) French, and (iv) English. The Lasar Segall Museum Journal may publish either the original text or a translation into Portuguese.

Proposals submitted for the next issue of the journal that are not immediately accepted for publication may be kept on file for possible future publication, provided the authors agree.

When completing the registration form, authors must include their ORCID ID in the field labeled “URL” on the form.

For the peer-review process, the authors of submitted works must not be identifiable in the body of the text, in accordance with the double-blind review policy. Notes and citations that could reveal the authors’ identities must be removed from the text.

The article must be typeset in 12-point Times New Roman font and must include: Title in bold, centered; Title in English in the same format; an abstract of up to 10 lines, justified and single-spaced, followed by up to 5 keywords; an abstract, in the same format as the summary, in italics, followed by up to 5 keywords, in italics; justified text, 1.5 line spacing, and 0 pt line spacing;

No page breaks or section breaks should be inserted;

Footnotes must be in 10-point font, single-spaced, justified, and numbered with Arabic numerals;

Figures must be placed within the body of the text, in JPG format, at 300 dpi, with the shorter side no longer than 10 cm; they must be accompanied by technical specifications (title, author, year, and source) and numbered (Figure 01, Figure 02…);

Images must be attached as supplementary documents;

The page must have margins of 2 cm at the bottom and right, and 3 cm at the top and left;

References must follow the most recent ABNT standard;

The article must be between 15 and 25 pages long, from the title page to the last reference;

Important: Do not use all caps for titles or subtitles. All caps will only be accepted in cases where the titles of cited works (books, projects, etc.) were originally written in all caps.

If the submission forms are filled out in all caps, the submission will be rejected.
